Crib

This three-week installation located in a farmer’s pasture, transformed four existing corn cribs into beacons of light and color. Referencing corn cobs, kernals,  the stacking and storing of animal feed, the piece draws attention to the changing nature of the farming industry and the largely defunct, but iconic structures that still dot the Wisconsin rural landscape.

Corn cribs, dyed muslin, tar paper, lighting. 4 structures, 18 feet high x 40 feet around.

Commissioned for the Fermentation Fest for the Farm/Art D’Tour, Reedsburg, WI, 2012.
